About the Role
We’re hiring a full-time Sales Manager based in Montreal, an exciting opportunity for someone ready to level up in their sales leadership journey.

This role offers the chance to lead and scale the sales department of a trusted, high-impact brand in a niche market. With an initial focus on our inbound sales motion, you’ll develop scalable processes, optimize tactics and coach team members to success. To stay close to the customer and lead by example, you’ll also spend a portion of your time in active sales, giving you direct insight into the journey your team supports and helping ensure that the processes you shape, refine, or implement actually work on the ground.

Qualifications
• A customer-driven mindset and a passion for solving problems through sales
• Successful experience with B2B sales, ideally selling SaaS to mid-sized organizations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience within a team setting
• Comfort managing a CRM and other technical sales tools
• Familiarity with RFPs and formal procurement processes
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English (French is a plus)
• University degree in a relevant field
• Creative mindset and eagerness to grow with the company

Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of account executives, providing guidance, mentorship, and motivation to ensure their professional growth and a high level of effectiveness.

Procedures: Own the playbooks for all functions throughout the sales process. Make sure everything from call scripts to objection counters are documented and continually optimized, based on best practices and real world results.

Tooling and Monitoring: Configure technical tools such as the CRM, scheduler, and note taker for maximum effectiveness. Develop and maintain a set of metrics and reports to adequately measure employee and departmental performance.

Performance Management: Monitor employee statistics and spot check the quality of their work. Conduct regular performance reviews for sales team members, providing constructive feedback and recognition for their contributions.

Liaison and Coordination: Foster strong communication and collaboration with the marketing department to ensure pipeline and collateral are aligned for successful sales, and with the elections department to ensure customer handoffs are performed smoothly.

Tactical Thinking: Detect problems and inefficiencies and proactively address them. Identify opportunities for improvement and exploit them. Provide senior management with feedback on the company’s overall sales strategy.

Hands-On Sales Work: Maintain first hand experience by performing a minimum amount of discovery calls, product demonstrations, proposals and follow-ups. Also travel to participate at tradeshows (very infrequently).
